一、doc 和 docx文档有什么区别

doc 是 Word2007 及以下版的文件扩展名，而 docx 是 Word2007 及以上版本的文件扩展名，docx 版本兼容性较高，而且比 doc 文件所占用空间更小。

二、doc 格式介绍

doc 英文的全称是 Document，是微软自己的一种专有文件格式。doc 格式可以容纳文字格式、脚本语言等，比 RTF、HTML 等要多，但该格式还是属于比较封闭的格式，兼容性也较低。

三、docx 格式介绍

docx 是 Microsoft Office2007 之后 Word 的文件扩展名。

2007（也有介绍是 2009 年，我按照时间推算觉得 07 年更准确）这年微软将文档格式从私有协议转成了开放，所以 docx 是 doc 格式“升级版”。

它只多了个“X”但是差距太大了，他还假装自己是个文档，但实际上 docx 格式的文件本质上是一个 ZIP 文件，是的，你没有看错。你可以尝试将 docx 文件修改下扩展名为 zip，并且使用解压缩文件工具打开，你会发现他本来的“面貌”。

虽然在 doc 版本也可以，但它更像是当前 docx 的一个容器，docx 不但所占空间更小，而且兼容性更高于 doc 格式的文件。

四、关于微软开放文档格式

整理资料看到大概 2005 前后，微软一直被要求对其文档格式进行标准化，后微软宣布将把其 Word、Excel、PowerPoint 文档格式作为开放标准，还计划提供工具，使老文档能够利用新的开放标准，其开放也会扩大微软领先的优势。

WPS 软件 doc 和 docx 均可以正常兼容打开，闲话两句，其实我们自己的 WPS 也做得非常棒，在 word 文档模板和 Excel 数据使用上我感觉超过了微软 office，而且还个人免费，只有高级功能才会收费。

对于有工作能力的个体，我个人是支持购买正版付费的 WPS 的，只是界面更清爽些就好了。
